Antarctic Act Tribunal

The purpose of the Antarctic Act Tribunal is to decide any appeals against the Secretary of State in cases where permits granted under the Act have been revoked or suspended. The tribunal is only constituted in the event of a claim, and to date no such claim has been made.
Foreign Compensation Commission

The Foreign Compensation Commission operates on a care and maintenance basis: it would only operate if and when there were funds from compensation awards to be distributed to UK nationals (eg as happened after the Suez crisis). As no such funds presently exist, the tribunal has no current function.
